Are You Feeling Lucky?
I'm a new convert to 'good luck charms' .... let me explain .....
About 6 months ago someone in the USA used a stolen credit card to buy products from my website - long story .... but before I'd found out it was stolen I'd already sent part of the order and included one of my recycled glass bead good luck charm from Global Mamas - anyway, to cut a long story short the 'customer' turned out to be part of the Nigerian fraud scams that go around.
The bank had already taken the money back and I had resigned myself to having lost my products .... until last week .... when the postie came in with a very tatty looking parcel that had been 'returned to sender'.
Yes, I'd got my products back and my good luck charm.
I decided to hang the charm above my counter .... as I was in need of some more good luck .... my new products from Fancy Stitch (South Africa) had been missing 'in transit' for 3 months .... I had just about given up all hope of ever receiving my products ... that was until my good luck charm worked its magic!
And guess what ... yes, my Fancy Stitch products turned up this week .... so I'm now convinced that good luck charms aren't superstition, they're real!!!
Fancy Stitch - South Africa
After much anxiety and anticipation .... our new Fancy Stitch products arrived this week .... who knows where they'd been for the last 3 months but they got here ... eventually.
Fancy Stitch is a non-profit organisation in Ingwavumu, KwaZulu Natal (South Africa) - the project provides support and training for women affected by HIV - who make the most exquisite hand embroidered greeting cards, book marks and 'mini tapestries' - each one is completely unique and reflects the individuality of the women who make them.
